Depression and Courage

A courageous person is someone who is known to defy the odds.A person who shows strength during adversity. Someone who will stand up when others back down.

An individual who suffers from depression exhibits courage every day of their life. You or your loved one is fighting to live up to a purpose; they sometimes struggle to find. To keep the faith even though it seems hope has turned its back. To see the light at the end of the tunnel; when darkness surrounds them. To smile on the outside despite the pain that permeates their inside. To never give up when there seems every reason to quit.

An individual who suffers from depression often feels life has no meaning; everything around them seems insignificant. They force themselves to engage with others at times and are fine being alone in their own world. They often feel misunderstood and many think on a much deeper level that is hard to explain.

Depressed individuals are strong and have tremendous courage; they reach out to individuals they feel are trustworthy and will not judge their condition. You can help suppress the myth that depressed individuals are weak, attention seeking and can choose to be happy. Help spread the word that depression sufferers have remarkable courage.

GIVING UP IS NEVER AN OPTION!!
